‘Multilevel Parking’ To Be Functional Within Week At Pune Airport; Final Testing Of Electronics System At Airport Begins
Pune, 3rd November 2022: The ‘multilevel parking’ to be set up to solve the parking problem at Pune Airport will start within the next week. All its works have been completed and the final testing of the electronics system is underway. For the past several days, Pune Airport was facing the problem of parking four-wheelers and two-wheelers.
Against this backdrop, it was planned to build a multilevel parking lot directly connected to the airport and its work is now done. Therefore, the parking problem arising in this area will end soon.
The multilevel parking facility was to be completed by April 2022 but the work was delayed due to Covid-19. After that, this work was to be opened in September 2022. Even after that, this work was delayed for two months, and now it is going to start in the current month.
This four-storey ‘multilevel parking’ will also be used by the airport administration on a commercial basis. Along with the parking on each floor, there will also be food stalls and some private offices. It is said that the airport administration will get huge revenue from this parking.
The Airport administration informed that the work of parking to be set up by the airport administration is now being completed. This four-storey hi-tech parking lot will also have parking facilities for Ola and Uber vehicles. Passengers can book taxis directly from here. Along with this, passengers can park their two-wheelers and four-wheelers in this parking lot as per the hourly rate and its rates will be decided by the government.
Just like movie tickets, passengers can also book parking from their mobile phones. Passengers can also pay the fee fixed for that via online payment mode through Google Pay, Phone Pe, and Paytm.
The work of the foot-over bridge connecting to the airport has also been completed. Passengers will be able to go directly to the airport through the bridge on this multilevel parking.

Passengers at the airport – 23,000-25,000
Multilevel parking capacity – 1,000 for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers
