Mumbai: BARC Offers 105 Vacancies For Fellowships, Apply online From 18 December

Mumbai, December 16, 2020: Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India has announced 105 fellowships for the deserving and enthusiastic youth in the fields of Physical, Chemical and Biological Sciences.
As per the advertisement applications are invited from candidates for Junior Research Fellowships in various fields. Interested candidates will be able to apply through the online application form provided on the official website of BSRC, barc.gov.in. The process of online application is to start from 18 December 2020 and candidates will be able to submit their application by 15 January 2021.
Who can apply?
Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree in related subjects with minimum 60% marks and Masters degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university or other higher education institution can apply. Final year students can also apply. However, these candidates will have to provide mark sheets by the due date. In addition, the age of the candidates should not be more than 28 years on the last date of application.
Selection process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of screening test and interview. The shortlisting of the candidates for the interview will be done on the basis of their academic performance and merit test scores.
Application fee: Candidates will have to pay application fees Rs 500 with the application. The application fee can be paid online.
Fellowship and other facilities: Selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 31 thousand per month. The duration of the fellowship will be two years. Those candidates who have performed well will be promoted as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the next three years. A stipend of 35 thousand rupees per month will be given during SRF. In addition, a contingency grant of Rs 40 thousand will be given every year. Also, the candidate’s medical facility will be given under CGHS. At the same time, accommodation will be provided on the basis of availability.
