NAMTECH Receives ‘Distinguished Partner’ Award from ITE Education Services in Singapore

Gandhinagar, 25th October 2023: In a significant achievement, NAMTECH, an AM/NS India educational initiative located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Distinguished Partner’ award by ITE Education Services (ITEES), a subsidiary of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Singapore. The award was presented at ITEES’s 20th-anniversary celebration event.

NAMTECH, operating from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar campus, has been at the forefront of educational advancements in manufacturing technology. It aligns its goals with India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing hub, in line with the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) initiatives.

Over the past year, NAMTECH’s leadership and faculty have actively collaborated with ITEES in designing experiential learning modules, state-of-the-art laboratories, industry-centered curricula, faculty development programs, and more. This fruitful partnership has been instrumental in establishing NAMTECH as a world-class institution.

The ‘Distinguished Partner’ award from ITEES recognizes NAMTECH’s exceptional contributions to the field of education and its commitment to fostering excellence. NAMTECH recently launched the inaugural class of the International Professional Masters Program (iPMP) in Smart Manufacturing, enrolling 56 students.

Mr. Bruce Poh, CEO of ITEES, expressed his delight at partnering with NAMTECH and commended the institution’s dedication to building a world-class educational hub in Gujarat, India. He extended his best wishes for NAMTECH’s success in nurturing future leaders in manufacturing technology with a focus on sustainability.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma, a Board Member of NAMTECH, emphasized the strategic significance of their collaboration with ITEES, which has accelerated NAMTECH’s vision of developing a skilled engineering workforce proficient in Smart Manufacturing technologies and processes. NAMTECH also aims to collaborate with the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) ecosystem to enhance the employability of ITI students, viewing ITEES as a key partner in realizing their goal of positively impacting a million lives in the next 10 years.
