NephroPlus organizes Aashayein, the fun and educational event exclusively for dialysis patients

Pune, 6th June 2023: NephroPlus, India’s leading network of dialysis service centres committed to improving the quality of life for dialysis patients, hosted an enlightening and uplifting event designed exclusively for dialysis patients, ‘Aashayein,’ in Pune on June 4.

This unique initiative is a flagship event by the brand to create an atmosphere of joy, support, and unity for dialysis patients, their families, and caregivers. Also, through such initiatives, the brand offers a chance to connect with others who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of the dialysis journey, forging new friendships and strengthening existing bonds.

The day-long educational workshop witnessed the participation of over 500 dialysis patients across the city of Pune, along with their families and loved ones. Key sessions on disease management were addressed by a group of medical professionals associated with NephroPlus. The workshop focused on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being for dialysis patients to learn valuable self-care techniques, relaxation exercises, and strategies for maintaining a positive outlook. Apart from the informative sessions, the workshop included fun and interactive activities where the patients showcased their unique talents and skills.

The Co-founder of NephroPlus, Mr Kamal D. Shah was honoured as the chief guest to set the event in motion. On another successful Aashayein event, he remarked, ‘’Aashayein aims to celebrate dialysis patients’ resilience and spirit. Being a dialysis patient myself, I understand how challenging the dialysis journey is, and we at NephroPlus believe that it is essential to provide opportunities for patients to enjoy fun and engaging experiences while fostering a sense of community. A renowned cohort of nephrologists Dr Avinash IgnitiousDr Sachin Patil, and Dr Ranjit Singh Dalvi, including a leading vascular Surgeon, Dr Shital Londhe, were invited to address the patients on several important aspects of Kidney Disease and Dialysis. All things considered, the remarkable event concluded with laughter and lasting memories of the dialysis patients and others who gathered to celebrate the indomitable spirit of dialysis patients and their incredible strength in the face of adversity.
