Pune/Satara, 22nd November 2024: A woman who has defrauded several people of crores is facing yet another complaint, this time from a Pune resident claiming she duped him of ₹14.49 crore. The woman, identified as Kashmira Pawar, reportedly promised him lucrative government tenders worth hundreds of crores. The complaint was filed at the Satara City Police Station on 20th November, citing offences committed between December 2017 and July 2023. It wasn’t until he watched the news that the man realised he had been duped by the woman.

Satara City Police had earlier arrested seven individuals, including Pawar, in connection with another case where she allegedly defrauded a man of ₹14 crore. Pawar, who claimed to be a consultant for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) of India, has been accused of deceiving multiple victims in Pune and Satara. Although she was arrested previously and released on bail, she allegedly continued her fraudulent activities, leading to her recent re-arrest.

A case has been registered against Kashmira Sandeep Pawar, Ganesh Haribhau Gaikwad, Yuvraj Bhimrao Jalke, and Anil Bharat Waydande, all residents of Satara, following a complaint filed by 48-year-old Pramod Tanaji Jagtap, a Dhayari, Pune resident, and native of Satara who owns several fabrication businesses.

Complainant Jagtap met Pawar through an acquaintance, and she repeated her false claim of being a PMO consultant. She promised him two government tenders worth crores. Believing her, Jagtap, along with three others, paid her ₹14,49,50,163. Pawar even provided a document bearing a Government of India stamp to convince him.

However, when Jagtap failed to receive any tenders and could not contact Pawar, he began suspecting foul play. Upon learning about similar fraud cases involving Pawar in the news, he realised he had been deceived and rushed to file a complaint at the Satara City Police Station.
