Over 2,100 Staff Appointed for Vote Counting Across 21 Pune District Constituencies

Pune, 22nd November 2024: A total of 1,658 staff members have been appointed for the vote-counting process across 21 Assembly constituencies in Pune district. This includes 528 micro inspectors, 553 counting supervisors, and 577 counting assistants. Additionally, 458 reserve officers and staff have been appointed, bringing the total to 2,143 employees. This information was provided by Pune District Collector and District Election Officer, Dr. Suhas Diwase.

Voting took place at 8,443 polling stations across the 21 constituencies in Pune district on 20th November, and the vote counting will begin tomorrow at 8 AM. The appointed officers and staff for various constituencies are as follows: Junnar – 87, Ambegaon – 85, Khel Alandi – 77, Shirur – 90, Daund – 57, Indapur – 61, Baramati – 77, Purandar – 59, Bhor – 97, Maval – 66, Chinchwad – 87, Pimpri – 98, Bhosari – 87, Vadgaonsheri – 89, Shivajinagar – 62, Kothrud – 87, Khadakwasla – 80, Parvati – 93, Hadapsar – 93, Pune Cantonment – 60, and Kasba Peth – 66.

The vote-counting results will be announced at regular intervals from the counting centres via loudspeakers. Candidates, election representatives, and counting staff are strictly prohibited from using electronic devices such as mobile phones, pagers, calculators, tablets, or electronic wristwatches at the counting centre. Candidates are advised to take note of this. Counting staff, candidates, and election representatives are required to wear valid identification throughout the vote-counting process. Unauthorised persons will not be allowed entry into the counting room, as informed by the election authorities.
