Opposition Parties To Protest Against PM Narendra Modi During His Visit To Pune on August 1

Pune 30th July 2023: The city unit of Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), an alliance of opposition parties formed to counter BJP ahead of Lok Sabha Elections has decided to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Pune on August 1. The opposition parties will wave black flags at PM for not visiting violence-hit Manipur.

 

Prime Minister is visiting Pune on August 1 to receive Lokmanya Tilak Award. He will also attend multiple development related works including launch of the extended routes of Pune Metro during his visit. The members of INDIA on Saturday held a press conference in the city to announce their protest. The protest will be organised at Alka Chowk in the city under the leadership of socialist leader Baba Adhav.

 

Interestingly NCP Chief Sharad Pawar is also a chief guest at an event where PM is scheduled to be conferred with the award. While at the same time his party is participating in a protest against PM as he is visiting the city for the same program.
