Over 6,000 people benefit by distribution of hearing aids

Pune – By the efforts of Member of Parliament Supriya Sule from Baramati on 26th October TATA Trust & Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan jointly donated 4074 hearing aids to the Pawar Public Charitable Trust which they distributed to more than 2000 beneficiaries on the spot.

TATA Trusts & Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan have applied to the Guinness World Records to register the work for the ‘Most Hearing Aid Donated in 24 Hours’ which also has been counted and witnessed by two independent ENT witnesses. The whole work has been video recorded and the evidence will be submitted to the Guinness World Records for the evaluation.

Sule said that this is the first time such an initiative has taken place on this scale. The hearing aids will be distributed to 6,000 people from 18 districts across Maharashtra. She also said that it took about five years to collect the details of people.
