Over 650 Tourists From Pune Stranded In Jammu And Kashmir; Most Set To Return By April 29

Pune, 26th April 2025: A total of 657 tourists from Pune who were stranded in Jammu and Kashmir have contacted the District Disaster Control Room, officials confirmed. Of these, 343 tourists have already safely returned to Pune over the past two days, while the remaining travelers are expected to arrive by April 29.

According to the District Administration, the tourists are returning to Pune through various modes of transportation, including flights, trains, and private vehicles. On Saturday (26th April) alone, 90 tourists reached Pune — 11 by air, 39 by train, and 40 by private vehicles.

The District Administration is maintaining constant communication with all tourists to ensure their safe return. Information is being continuously gathered and coordinated through the Disaster Control Room.
