Pune: Talegaon Dhamdhere’s Rohan Pingale Secures 581st Rank In UPSC 2024; Fulfills Dream Of Becoming Officer

Shirur, 26th April 2025: Rohan Rajendra Pingale, from a farming family in Talegaon Dhamdhere (Taluka Shirur), has achieved his dream of becoming an officer by securing the 581st rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2024.
Rohan completed his primary education at the Zilla Parishad Primary School in his village and his secondary education at the Swatantrya Sainik Raykumar Gujar School. He later earned an engineering degree from Sinhgad College in Vadgaon Budruk. With the guidance of his teachers and the support of his parents, Rohan achieved remarkable success in one of the country’s toughest examinations.
Rohan’s father, a practicing lawyer, maintains a strong connection with farming, while his mother, a homemaker, is also deeply involved in agricultural activities. His sister holds a postgraduate degree in pharmacy. News of Rohan’s success has brought immense joy to his family, relatives, and villagers.
Rohan began his initial UPSC preparation at Dnyanprabodhini in Pune and later moved to Delhi to continue his rigorous studies. Throughout his journey, encouragement from his family and friends played a crucial role. His ambition to become an officer first took root in 2014, when the results of that year’s UPSC exam inspired him to pursue the same path.
Although he faced failure in his first attempt, Rohan remained undeterred. The unwavering support and belief of his family helped him persevere. He credits his success to his determination, persistence, and disciplined study. His maternal uncle, Manoj Bankar, a GST officer, also played a significant role in motivating him.
On his second attempt, Rohan achieved notable success, fulfilling both his own dream and that of his parents and friends. Speaking after his achievement, he urged the younger generation to invest their free time in preparing for competitive exams to pave the way for successful careers.
