PCMC Appoints Consultant To Conduct Electrical And Fire Safety Audits At All Its Buildings, Hospitals And Dispensaries

Pimpri-Chinchwad, March 2, 2021: Electrical and fire safety audits will be carried out at all Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) buildings, hospitals, and dispensaries. The decision to conduct an audit comes after a fire at Bhandara District Hospital killed many newborns in January this year.
FLS Engineering from Mumbai has been appointed as a consultant for the audit. An expert consultant with full knowledge of IS standards, building codes, etc., will be appointed to audit these buildings.
A comprehensive electrical and fire safety audit DPR was prepared, and a quotation notice was published on the municipal corporation’s website to find an agency to control the audit work and do it properly. Various agencies were called on February 9, 2021, for a presentation to appoint a consultant.
FLS Engineering from Mumbai has been appointed as a consultant based on the presentation survey, interviews and technical qualifications, work experience, and ancillary information submitted by the agencies.
FLS Engineering has been appointed as a consultant for the electrical and fire safety audit work of municipal offices, ancillary establishments as well as for taking necessary technical measures for further work as per the errors and recommendations found in the audit. The PCMC Standing Committee approved the agreement with the agency.
