Pimpri-Chinchwad, 27th September 2025: The Cyber Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for threatening to use artificial intelligence (AI) to create obscene images of a 20-year-old woman. The victim lodged a complaint at the Chikhli Police Station.

According to Assistant Police Inspector Swami from the Cyber Cell, the case stemmed from a one-sided love affair. The accused, identified as Sudarshan Sunil Jadhav, worked in the same company as the complainant and had developed an obsessive interest in her.

To harass her, Jadhav allegedly created a fake Instagram account—either impersonating the woman by using her photos or posing as another individual—and began contacting her. Despite her objections, he continued to trouble her.

When the woman warned that she would approach the police, Jadhav allegedly used AI to digitally alter her photographs, changing her attire, and sent the manipulated images to her. He also threatened to generate obscene images using AI technology.

Following her complaint, the Cyber Police launched an investigation and traced Jadhav to Chakan, where he was arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to the acts, admitting they were motivated by his one-sided obsession.
