Central Railway To Run 60 Additional Festival Special Trains

Mumbai/Pune, 27 September 2025: Central Railway has announced the operation of 60 special trains to manage the expected surge of passengers during the upcoming Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. These services will be run between October and November 2025 across various routes.

CSMT–Asansol–CSMT Weekly AC Special (12 Services)

Train No. 01145 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai at 11:05 hrs every Monday from 06 October to 10 November 2025, reaching Asansol at 05:30 hrs on the third day. Six services will operate.

The return train, 01146, will depart Asansol at 21:00 hrs every Wednesday from 08 October to 12 November 2025, arriving at CSMT at 16:20 hrs on the third day. Six services are scheduled.

Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Gaya, Dhanbad, among others.

Composition: 20 AC 3-Tier coaches and 2 Generator Cars.

CSMT–Karimnagar–CSMT Weekly AC Special (12 Services)

Train No. 01021 will leave CSMT Mumbai at 00:20 hrs every Saturday from 11 October to 15 November 2025, arriving in Karimnagar at 16:00 hrs the same day. Six services will operate.

The return train, 01022, will depart Karimnagar at 17:30 hrs every Saturday during the same period, reaching CSMT Mumbai at 13:50 hrs the next day. Six services are planned.
Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Manmad, Nanded, Purna, Basar, Nizamabad, and others.

Composition: 20 AC 3-Tier coaches and 2 Generator Cars.

LTT–Muzaffarpur–LTT Weekly AC Special (12 Services)

Train No. 01043 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at 12:15 hrs every Tuesday from 07 October to 11 November 2025, reaching Muzaffarpur at 06:30 hrs on the third day. Six services will run.

The return train, 01044, will depart Muzaffarpur at 08:30 hrs every Thursday from 09 October to 13 November 2025, arriving at LTT at 22:50 hrs the following day. Six services are scheduled.

Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Patliputra, and others.
Composition: 1 First AC, 3 AC 2-Tier, 15 AC 3-Tier, 1 Pantry Car, and 2 Generator Cars.

Pune–Hazrat Nizamuddin–Pune Bi-weekly Superfast AC Special (24 Services)

Train No. 01493 will depart Pune at 17:30 hrs every Monday and Thursday from 06 October to 13 November 2025, arriving at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 20:00 hrs the next day. Twelve services will operate.

The return train, 01494, will depart Hazrat Nizamuddin at 21:25 hrs every Tuesday and Friday from 07 October to 14 November 2025, reaching Pune at 23:55 hrs the following day. Twelve services are planned.

Halts: Lonavala, Kalyan, Surat, Vadodara, Kota, Mathura, among others.

Composition: 16 AC 3-Tier coaches and 2 Generator Cars.

Bookings for trains 01145, 01021, 01043, and 01493 are available at computerized reservation centers and on the official website www.irctc.co.in.

Tickets for unreserved coaches can be booked through the UTS app at normal charges applicable to superfast Mail/Express trains.
