Pimpri-Chinchwad Emerging As A Preferred Residential Hub Due To Its Basic Facilities And Infrastructure
Pimpri Chinchwad, 5th April 2023: The city of Pimpri-Chinchwad is experiencing significant growth as a result of its basic facilities, such as electricity, water, flyovers, IT parks, and educational institutions. The population of the city has increased from 4.5 lakh to 6 lakh in the past seven years, with 26,628 new properties added last year.
According to Jitendra Wagh, Additional Commissioner, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipality, citizens prefer to live in Pimpri-Chinchwad due to its many amenities. The city’s growth graph demonstrates that it is becoming a centre of attraction for its citizens.
The municipal corporation has undertaken extensive development work under the Central Government’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, which has made well-equipped roads and flyovers the city’s identity. Pimpri-Chinchwad has also become a centre of attraction for citizens due to the diverse projects set up by the municipal corporation, such as parks, playgrounds, and swimming pools.
The Hinjewadi IT Park, Talwade IT Park, Chakan, and Ranjangaon MIDC are among the areas next to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Industrial Area where many multinational companies have set up shop, employing people from all over the country. However, the basic facilities such as internal roads, water and electricity are still inadequate in these areas, leading many people to prefer to live in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. As a result, the amount of construction in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits under the IT Park and MIDC has increased.
In addition, the rural areas of Mamurdi, Ravet, Kiwale, Punawale, Moshi, Charholi, Dighi, Vadmukhwadi, Chovisawadi, Dudulgaon, and Chikhali, which were included in the Municipal Corporation 25 years ago, are also seeing comprehensive development in the last few years. Basic facilities such as roads, water, and electricity have started to become available, resulting in a large number of housing complexes being built in these areas. In the city in 2017, there were 4.5 lakh incomes, such as residential, industrial, and vacant land. In seven years, there has been a huge increase in the number of residential incomes, along with industrial incomes, increasing by one and a half lakh incomes. This has resulted in the income of the municipal corporation increasing day by day.
The municipal corporation is making constant efforts to provide water, infrastructure, environment, and quality facilities. The administration is working to make Pimpri-Chinchwad the most livable city with playgrounds, fields, wide roads, and entertainment facilities.
