Pimpri-Chinchwad: Fire Brigade Controls Bus Fire Near Nashik Phata, No Passengers Onboard

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14th June 2024: A private travel bus caught fire near Kalasagar Hotel in Pimpri-Chinchwad early this morning. There were no passengers on board, preventing a potential loss of life.

The incident occurred around 7:00 AM when the bus, traveling from Nigdi towards Bhosari, caught fire. According to the fire brigade, the blaze was caused by a short circuit. Firefighters from Vallabhnagar promptly responded and managed to control the fire.

The bus had two drivers at the time of the incident. One driver was sleeping in the bus when the fire broke out. The other driver, who was in the front of the bus, quickly pulled his colleague to safety.

The fire department at Vallabhnagar received the alert and dispatched two fire tenders immediately. Despite their swift response, the front part of the bus was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived. The fire brigade confirmed that the fire originated from a short circuit.
