Pimpri-Chinchwad: Massive Fire Breaks Out in Anand Nagar Slum, No Casualties Reported
Chinchwad, 24th April 2025: A major fire broke out around 2 PM on Wednesday in the Anand Nagar slum of Pimpri Chinchwad, causing panic among residents. The fire reportedly started in a women’s bathroom, quickly spreading to the fibre shed and floor, engulfing a portion of the congested locality.
Fire brigade officials confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported. However, they have yet to determine the cause of the blaze. Due to the dense layout of the area, fire trucks and ambulances faced extreme difficulty reaching the scene.
Despite these challenges, local residents responded swiftly, taking matters into their own hands and helping contain the fire before it could spread further. Authorities praised the presence of mind shown by the community during the emergency.
