PM Modi’s Pune Rally Preparation Leads to Traffic on JM Road in Shivajinagar
Shivajinagar, 11th November 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold a campaign rally in Pune tomorrow for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections to support Mahayuti candidates. In preparation, the Traffic Branch of the Pune City Police Commissionerate has implemented road closures in central areas of the city. This evening, the road closure from Balgandharva Chowk to Deccan caused significant traffic congestion on Jangali Maharaj Road (JM Road).
As a result, citizens experienced delays of up to 30 minutes, leading to frustration as many were in a hurry to return home from work. Additionally, roads from Yerawada to Central Peth areas in Pune have been closed, and traffic signals at several intersections have been disabled. Due to these changes, the police are facing additional challenges in managing traffic at certain intersections.
