Pune: Ajit Pawar Asks Baramati, “Who Will Care for You After Sharad Pawar’s Retirement?”
Baramati, 11th November 2024: Today, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar held campaign meetings in Baramati Taluka for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. With Ajit Pawar’s nephew, Yugendra, challenging him in these elections, the atmosphere remains tense. However, Ajit Pawar addressed the voters of Baramati today, asking who would look after them once Sharad Pawar retires, adding that Sharad Pawar’s retirement is imminent. He emphasised that he is committed to serving the people for a comparatively longer term.
Ajit Pawar, highlighting his experience, expressed that he has learnt a great deal over the years. He clarified that he doesn’t mean a new candidate won’t learn, adding that he didn’t come into politics with all the knowledge but acquired it through hard work. “We have a lot of work to do. We have to understand the people’s issues,” said Pawar.
Referring to veteran leader Sharad Pawar’s age and his nearing retirement, Ajit Pawar stated, “Once Sharad Pawar retires from politics, who will look after you? No one else will be able to care for you or work for you as I will.” He further urged, “You made Saheb happy in the Lok Sabha elections; now it’s time to make me happy in these elections.”
