PM Narendra Modi Thanks Punekars for Their Support, Promises More Investments and Growth

Pune, 12th November 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pune today to campaign for Mahayuti candidates in the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. Speaking at a public rally at the grounds of Sir Parashurambhau College (SP College), Modi emphasised the close connection between Pune and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that Punekars have consistently supported the party.

PM Modi said, “The relationship between Pune and BJP is built on shared values, manners, and beliefs. Punekars have always embraced the BJP’s ideas and vision, and for that, I am grateful. I am here to tell you that Mahayuti’s new government will work with even greater speed for the development of Pune and Maharashtra.” He promised further investments for Pune, highlighting the record growth already underway, and assured that the city would continue to receive focused attention.

PM Modi also underscored the Mahayuti government’s commitment to improving Pune’s connectivity. He said, “Your wishes are orders for me. Your dreams inspire me to work day and night. Your needs are the foundation of my government’s schemes. We aim to make your life easier.” He emphasised the continuous expansion of Pune’s Metro network, which is aimed at reducing traffic issues and creating new opportunities. Modi noted that work is progressing on both intracity and intercity transport networks.

Mahavikas Aghadi Is Deceiving People – Ajit Pawar

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, opened PM Modi’s event in Pune with a speech expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister and the central government for their support of key projects and initiatives that benefit Maharashtra’s youth and seniors. He also criticised the opposition’s stance on the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana, saying, “While we introduced beneficial schemes, the opposition accused us of leading Maharashtra toward bankruptcy. But their claims are wrong. Their numbers are wrong, and they are deceiving you all.” Pawar further urged Maharashtra’s citizens to vote for Mahayuti, stating that when central and state government initiatives align, everyone benefits.

Shinde and Fadnavis Absent

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were notably absent from PM Modi’s campaign event in Pune. With Fadnavis as a key leader of BJP in Maharashtra and Maharashtra State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule also missing from the event, public speculation has grown. However, no official statements have been made regarding their absences.
