PMC Elections: Bappu Mankar Promises Doorstep Solutions Through Mobile Grievance Office
Shaniwar Peth, 10th January 2026: Promising doorstep solutions to civic issues, Raghavendra Bappu Mankar on Saturday announced plans to launch a “mobile grievance redressal office” aimed at providing immediate assistance to citizens, particularly senior citizens. He made the announcement while interacting with residents during his campaign in Ward No. 25.
Mankar said that through his 24-hour public service office, consistent efforts have been made to resolve citizens’ problems over the years. Taking this initiative a step further, the proposed mobile grievance redressal office will directly visit senior citizens at their homes to address urgent civic issues.
Ward No. 25, which includes the Shaniwar Peth and Mahatma Phule Mandai areas, has a large population of senior citizens. Under the new initiative, residents will be able to report issues related to drainage, water supply, sanitation, health, and other civic services through a dedicated helpline number. The mobile office team will then visit the affected area and initiate prompt action to resolve the problem. In cases where resolution may take time, citizens will be kept informed at every stage, Mankar said.
He described the initiative as an extension of his existing 24-hour public service office, through which thousands of grievances have already been addressed. Emphasising the spirit of public service, Mankar said citizens elect their representatives as “sevaks” (public servants), and he remains committed to serving them selflessly with that responsibility in mind.
Mankar is currently focusing on door-to-door interactions with residents to understand their concerns firsthand. He said the response from citizens has been encouraging, citing the support received due to the effective functioning of the 24-hour public outreach office.
Meanwhile, BJP’s official candidates including Bappu Mankar, Swarada Bapat, Kunal Tilak, and Swapnali Pandit are jointly campaigning in the ward, holding direct interactions with residents as part of their election outreach.
