PMC, Police Officials Join MLA Pathare to Review Pune-Nagar Road Safety Measures
Viman Nagar, 12th September 2025: Vadgaonsheri MLA Bapusaheb Pathare inspected the Pune-Nagar Road on Friday along with Additional Police Commissioner (East Region) Manoj Patil to review road safety measures and traffic management issues.
During the visit, the team examined pedestrian crossings and assessed the difficulties faced by citizens while crossing the busy stretch. Pathare demanded the installation of pedestrian signals and proper signboards, especially at the U-turns on the Pune-Nagar Road.
The discussions also included plans for developing parking facilities at the Ramwadi Metro station, improving the U-turn at Khulewadi Corner, and streamlining traffic movement at Dargah Chowk and Zakat Naka in Kharadi bypass chowk area.
“Citizen safety on the road is the most important issue. Improvements to pedestrian walkways and U-turn management will enable people to travel safely and easily. It is expected that the traffic police administration should implement these improvements immediately,” Pathare said after the inspection.
Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil assured that the traffic department would take concrete steps to address the concerns raised.
The inspection was also attended by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, Police Inspectors Ravindra Kadam, Sangita Jadhav, and Yuvraj Nandre, Assistant Police Inspector Dattatray Ligade, former corporator Mahendra Pathare, Bhaiyyasaheb Jadhav, and Road Department Executive Engineer Sanjay Dharav along with other junior engineers.
