Pune: 119 Sailor Trainees Successfully Complete Professional Training at INS Shivaji, Lonavala

Lonavala, 5th August 2023: A total of 119 sailor trainees, including sailors from friendly foreign nations, have successfully concluded their professional training under the Merged Apprentice Artificer Course (MAAC 36) at INS Shivaji, Lonavala.

During their training, the trainees gained valuable insights into the operations and maintenance of engineering equipment installed on naval platforms. In addition to this, the course also encompassed various aspects such as physical fitness, parade training, outbound camps, engaging adventure activities, and insightful industrial visits.

The culmination of the course was marked by a grand course completion parade, which was meticulously reviewed by Commodore Mohit Goel, NM, Commanding Officer of INS Shivaji.

Suryakanta Jena, Ag LME, emerged as the top achiever, securing the coveted position of First in the Overall Order of Merit. Additionally, Praveen Yadav, ERA APP, was bestowed with the prestigious Commodore’s Rolling Trophy, recognizing him as the Best Sportsman.

The successful completion of this training program stands as a testament to the dedication, hard work, and excellence displayed by the sailor trainees, paving the way for their future endeavors in naval service.
