Pune: 12-Year-Old Boy Dead After Being Run Over By His School Bus

Sinhgad Road, 14th June 2022: A 12-year-old schoolboy died after coming under the wheels of his school bus today in Vadgaon Khurd, Pune.
The deceased has been identified as Arnav Amol Nikam, a resident of Rajyog Township, Vadgaon Khurd.
According to Pune city police officials, the bus of the Blossom Public School arrived at the Rajyog Society premises on Tuesday afternoon to drop off the students. Arnav and other students got off the bus. Arnav was found dead under the rear wheel while the bus was turning. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

After receiving information about the accident, senior police inspector Shailesh Sankhe, in-charge of Sinhagad police station, Police Inspector (Crime) Pramod Waghmare and sub-inspector Kishor Tanpure inspected the spot.
Police have arrested bus driver Dattatraya Laxman Parekar (49), a resident of Dhankawadi and conductor Riya Jadhav (33), a resident of Narhe, have been arrested. Further investigation is going on.
