Pune: 14 Tree-Fall Incidents Reported in 3.5 Hours amid Rain, Hailstorm; IMD Records 46 mm Rain at Pashan
Pune, 30th March 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade department received 14 complaints of tree-fall incidents within a span of three-and-a-half hours between 3pm and 6.30pm on Monday, following heavy rain accompanied by a hailstorm in parts of the city.
The officials said no injuries were reported in any of the incidents, though several vehicles were damaged. Areas such as Aundh, Baner and Hinjewadi witnessed intense rainfall along with hail.
According to the India Meteorological Department, Pashan recorded the highest rainfall at 46mm, followed by Lohegaon at 36.2mm, Shivajinagar at 26.2mm, Magarpatta at 25mm and Koregaon Park at 19mm till 6 pm.
