Pune: 19 Indian Navy Officers Complete Naval Technical Staff Course-40

Pune, 8th July 2022: A total of 19 Officers of the Indian Navy graduated today after successful completion of the Naval Technical Staff Course (NTSC) from the portals of the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT), the only Technology Training Tri services institute of the Armed Forces. NTSC Course is an ab-initio course for the Naval Armament Inspections Cadre (NAIC) Officers of the Indian Navy.

Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, AVSM, NM, Commandant, National Defence Academy was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Air Cmde Shashi Kant, Dy Commandant & Chief Instructor, MILIT and senior faculty members from the three services were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Guest felicitated all the graduating officers and presented awards to the meritorious student officers. First & Second in overall order of merit was awarded to Lt Komal & Lt Saurav respectively. Best all rounder was awarded to Lt Komal & best dissertation work for the course was awarded to Lt Ajay Nandal.

In his valedictory address, the Chief Guest stressed upon the requirement of absorbing, imbibing and applying the cutting edge technologies in the Naval armament and comprehend the future trends for realising their applications in the modern day battle fields. The Chief Guest motivated the young officers to continually enhance their technical knowledge and abreast with the niche technologies so as to facilitate appropriate induction and production of armament and weapons in the Indian Navy specially under ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.

At the end of the proceedings, the Chief Guest praised the initiatives of the MILIT Training Team in continuously striving to enhance the course content and making it more relevant in the present scenario. He advised all graduating Officers to gainfully utilise the knowledge gained at MILIT in their future assignments ahead towards securing the high seas and Indian coast.
