Pune: 200 Meters On Porwal Road Made ‘One Way’ To Beat Daily Traffic Jams

Lohegaon, 29th August 2022: After getting repeated complaints about daily traffic jams on Porwal Road, Pune Police has come out with a ‘solution’.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame has issued a notification making the 200 meters stretch from Kamlai Dairy Chowk towards Jakat Naka Chowk one way.
Now vehicles coming from DY Patil University will have to turn left at Kamlai Dairy Chowk towards Sathevasti and then turn right from Aurum Elementto society on the DP Road for going towards Orchid Hospital to again join the Porwal Road for going towards the Jakat Naka Chowk. Vehicles coming from the 7th Heaven society side have to also follow the same route.
Essential services vehicles such as ambulance, fire brigade and police have been exempted and they will be allowed to ply on one way in the opposite direction.
