Pune, 25th March 2024: Lions Club International 3234 D-2 launched the ‘Haak Divyanganchi, Saath Lionschi’ initiative, providing 26 wheelchairs to Divyang individuals. The distribution ceremony, held at Seva Sadan School in Erandwane, witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.

Former Governor of Lions Club, Ramesh Shah, along with Deepak Shah and Chintamani Patwardhan, General Secretary of Seva Sadan School, graced the occasion. Seema Dabke, Head of the Disability Wing, shared insights into the initiative, highlighting the significant impact it would have on the lives of the beneficiaries.

The Lions Club’s unwavering dedication to serving the Divyang community reflects their deep sense of social responsibility. Prof. Dr. Medha Kulkarni emphasized the importance of ensuring that government schemes designed for the Divyang effectively reach them, expressing her hopes for the initiative to bridge this gap. Ramesh Shah and Deepak Shah echoed similar sentiments, underscoring the importance of supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities in our society.
