Pune, 25th March 2024: Water plays an important role in maintaining our health in various ways. Every chemical or enzymatic reaction in the human body occurs with the assistance of water. Not only the human body but almost all living organisms on Earth need water for their survival. Water is a component of blood, digestive juices, urine, and every reaction taking place in the human body.

Drinking water not only quenches our thirst but is also essential for the proper functioning of human beings. According to various studies, individuals who stay hydrated remain healthier and develop fewer chronic conditions such as lung disease and heart disease. Additionally, poor hydration accelerates the aging process. Daily intake of a sufficient amount of water can increase the lifespan of human beings.

Some studies suggest that dehydration can affect our blood pressure levels. High blood pressure may lead to cardiac arrest and strokes. Water also helps to maintain proper blood flow. The amount of water one should consume depends on factors such as age, sex, physical activity, lifestyle, and surrounding temperature, as each individual requires different amounts of water intake.

Research indicates that a decrease in water intake increases the serum sodium level in the body. Individuals with higher sodium levels may develop chronic diseases and have a shorter lifespan. Hydration plays a vital role in maintaining the proper functioning of different organs in the human body.

Symptoms such as a change in urine color, feeling thirsty, and dry mouth indicate that our body needs water. Water is also crucial for the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system.

Therefore, remaining hydrated will always result in a healthier and longer life.
