Pune: 3447 new Corona patients in Pune district, 83 deaths

Pune, Sep 5, 2020: With the addition of 3447 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 1,84,516 in Pune district. Also, 3113 patients got discharged from hospitals while 83 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 1,84,516 patients 1,48,074 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4416 people have died. There are still 32,132 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 32,132 , 9947 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 8,12,923 people have been tested in the district.
The 1,84,516 patients include 1,02,076 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 53,289 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3676 from Cantonment areas, 19,549 are from Rural areas, and 5926 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 4,023,179 across the country. Out of this, 3,107,223 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 69,561 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 846,395 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
