Pune, September 5, 2020: Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan has shared a photograph of his visiting card that if planted will grow into a basil plant (Tulsi). This eco-friendly initiative not only earned him plenty of praise within the media but has also inspired more to need such steps in helping mother nature.

Kaswan wrote on Twitter “So, now anybody coming to my office is getting this. This card when planted grows into a bright basil plant,” he described this card “as a parting gift”. He explained the ideology for the cardboard isn’t to share contact information but mainly to encourage people to “plant this card”.

On Twitter, many have said that they’d adopt this eco-friendly idea, et al. have added their suggestions including adding seeds within the birthday cards or wedding cards, whereas many also showed where they also implemented such ideas. The initiative has resulted in an exceeding selection of the eco-friendly methods which can be used in our day-to-day lives which account for individual participation in saving the planet.
