Pune: 37th All India Postal Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex
Balewadi, 25th January 2024: The Department of Posts, Maharashtra Postal Circle, is set to host the 37th All India Postal Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament in Pune, scheduled from 30th January 2024 to 02nd February at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge, Pune.
The inaugural ceremony will take place at the venue on Tuesday, 30th January 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The tournament will be inaugurated by Shekhar Singh, Commissioner, PCMC, with Kiran Bhagat, Maharashtra Kesari, Runner-up, as the guest of honour. The event will be graced by Kishan Kumar Sharma, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Ramchandra Jayabhaye, Postmaster General Pune Region, and Simran Kaur, Director Postal Services.
The 36th All India Postal Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament took place in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Approximately 150 competitors from across the country are expected to participate in the Pune event. The schedule for the tournament is as follows:
1. 30/01/2024:
– Weight Lifting Tournament in 10 categories of the weight.
2. 31/01/2024 and 01/02/2024:
– Power Lifting Tournament in 08 categories of the weight, followed by a cultural evening on 01/02/2024.
3. 02/02/2024:
– Best Physique Tournament in 10 categories of the weight, followed by an Arm Wrestling Demo and the Closing Ceremony.
Winners of this tournament will have the opportunity to participate in the Inter-Departmental Tournament of the Central Government. The Best Physique Competitor will be honored with the “Dak Shree” during the prize distribution ceremony.
