Pune: 43 Kg Of Cannabis Worth Rs 8.5 Lakhs Seized By Anti-Narcotics Cell

Pune, 7th June 2022: Four people, including a woman, were arrested by Anti-Narcotics Cell 2 of Pune city police. In two operations in Urulikanchan and Lonikalbhor, 43 kg of cannabis worth Rs 8 lakh and vehicles worth Rs 12 lakh were seized from them.

Police Inspector Prakash Khandekar of Anti-Narcotics Squad 2 was patrolling in Lonikalbhor Police station area. At that time, the team got information that a person would come to the Urulikanchan area to sell cannabis.

Accordingly, the team arrested Dinesh Sopan Kale (31), resident of Salche in Karmala taluka of Solapur district and seized 20 kg 750 gm of cannabis worth Rs 4 lakh 18 thousand from the vehicle. The crime is being investigated by Sub-Inspector Digambar Chavan.

 

The team also arrested three persons for smuggling cannabis in the Loni Kalbhor area. The arrested have been identified as Omkar Padurang Gurav (22), Amol Hanumant Pawar (27) and Surekha Prashant Pawar (40). 22 kg cannabis worth Rs 4 lakh 31 thousand was seized from them.
