Pimpri, 26th August 2022: In an action taken by the Crime Branch Unit 4 of Pimpri Chinchwad Police, six rackets were busted in the police recruitment examination scam in Pimpri-Chinchwad. 56 people have been arrested in this case, of which five were arrested on 22nd August from Aurangabad, Jalna and Beed.

More than 100 Bluetooth earbuds, mobiles, walkie-talkies, spy devices, chargers, and cash have been seized from them.

A scam was noticed in the police recruitment process, following which, a case was registered at the Nigdi police station. The police investigated and took action in a short time. The accused have been detained from different places, and action is being taken now.

 

The Pimpri Chinchwad City Police Constable Recruitment process took place in November 2021 for 720 posts. The recruitment process went on till January 2022. After discovering the fraud in this recruitment process, a case was registered at the Nigdi police station.

 

The Crime Branch unit was investigating four crimes. So far, 56 people have been arrested in the investigation conducted by the police. Of these, 26 were candidates for recruitment.

 

Apart from this, more than 75 other people are accused of this crime, and police are searching for them. 12 accused also failed in the recruitment process by cheating.

On 22nd August, the Crime Branch team from Aurangabad, Jalna and Beed arrested Dnyaneshwar Sukhlal Chandel (29), Kartik alias Valmiki Sadashiv Jarwal (23), a resident of Aurangabad, Arun Vikram Pawar (26), Arjun Vishnu Devkate (28), and Amol Sambhaji Parekar (22), a resident of Beed.

 

76 mobiles, 66 electronic spy devices, 22 walkie-talkies, 11 walkie-talkie chargers, and Rs 11 lakh were seized from them. Apart from this, documents hidden in clothes, SIM cards, and devices, which were carried for the examination, have also been seized.

 

In this action, six cases of cheating in examinations have been busted in Aurangabad, Beed and Jalna districts. More than 20 different investigation teams have gone to search areas and arrested the accused from places like Beed, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nagpur, Amravati, and Ahmednagar.

 

The crime was jointly investigated by police officers from the Crime Branch Unit IV, the Cyber Cell, the Technical Analysis Section, and the Special Squad.
