Pune: Aam Aadmi Party To Contest Cantonment Board Elections In Maharashtra
Pune, 9th March 2023: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that it will contest the upcoming Cantonment Board elections in Maharashtra. The elections are scheduled to be held at the end of April in several cities across the state.
AAP Maharashtra convener Ranga Rachure said that the people of the state are seeking facilities like free education, healthcare, clean water, and affordable electricity, along with a corruption-free administration, similar to what has been implemented in Delhi under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Rachure stated that there is an opportunity to carry out various development works in the Cantonment area through the Cantonment Council, and hence, the Aam Aadmi Party will contest the elections with full strength. He urged the party workers in the constituencies where the Cantonment Council elections are taking place to contact the city in-charge or working president.
Under the leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party’s Maharashtra State convener and Pune City Working President Vijay Kumbhar, the party will participate in the Pune Cantonment Board and Khadki Cantonment Board elections.
