Pune: Woman Arrested For Stealing Gold Bracelet From Phoenix Mall
Viman Nagar, 9th March 2023: A 30-year-old woman, Anu Ved Prakash Sharma, has been arrested by Unit 4 of the Crime Branch for stealing a gold bracelet from the Blue Stone shop at Phoenix Mall in Pune.
The theft occurred on March 5, and Sharma was caught after confessing to the crime and handing over the stolen bracelet to the police. Further investigation revealed that Sharma had previously stolen a gold bangle weighing 16.690 grams from Phoenix Mall in June 2022.
Police Inspector Ganesh Mane and his team identified Sharma as the culprit through technical analysis and footage from the mall and surrounding areas. She was travelling on a black-coloured Maestro scooter at the time of the theft.
