Pune: Activists Seek Inclusion of Ajit Pawar’s Son in Mundhwa Land Deal FIRs
Pune, 24th December 2025: Activists Anjali Damania and Vijay Kumbhar on Tuesday formally requested the Bavdhan police and Pune Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to include Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s elder son, Parth Pawar, in the FIRs linked to the Mundhwa land transaction.
The activists also called for the two FIRs—one registered with Bavdhan police under the Pimpri-Chinchwad commissionerate and another with the Pune EOW—to be merged, citing their connection to the same land deal.
Damania told reporters, “The law mandates that if there is prima facie evidence of wrongdoing, FIRs must list the individuals involved. Here, Parth, who holds 99% of the shares in Amadea Enterprises LLP, has been left out, while his partner Digvijay Patil, holding only 1% share, is named. We have requested the police to rectify this.”
Although Damania and Kumbhar have been advocating for Parth’s inclusion for some time, Tuesday marked the formal submission of their written application to both the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad police. The activists also urged the authorities to investigate JDR Santosh Hingane, the complainant in the Bavdhan case.
“Evidence we have gathered suggests Hingane, along with two personal assistants and an officer on special duty to Ajit Pawar, were aware of the alleged irregularities in the land deal. They should be questioned,” Damania said.
Kumbhar emphasized the need to consolidate the two FIRs, stating, “Having separate FIRs under different commissionerates, each investigated by different teams, is inefficient. Merging them will allow a thorough probe and prevent any gaps in accountability.”
Police officials confirmed they will examine the applications and the documents provided. DCP (EOW) Vivek Masal said, “Anjali Damania submitted relevant documents to the commissioner’s office. We will review them carefully. She has also been updated about the current status of the case.”
