Pune: After Successful Rally In Jalna, Manoj Jarange Patil To Hold Rally In Khed
Pune 16th Oct 2023: Manoj Jarange Patil, an activist fighting for the reservation for the maratha community in Maharashtra is now scheduled to hold a rally in Pune’s Khed on October 20. This comes after Jarange Patil’s rally in Antarwali Sarati village of Jalna district where the lathicharge incident was reported last month received a massive response from supporters.
According to officials, Patil will visit the protesters in Rajgurunagar who have been on a strike with demand for reservation for the Maratha community and later address people in the same area. The members of Maratha Kranti Morcha have already started preparation for the rally and they have urged people from the community in a large number to participate in it.
It may be noted that the issue related to Maratha reservation in the state has raised concerns for the ruling government in Maharashtra especially after protests were erupted across the state following lathicharge on the protestors who were on a strike in Antarwali Sarati village of Jalna district with a demand for reservation. The state government has already started work to accommodate maximum members under the Kunabi Maratha category for reservation. However, the reports suggest that the authorities are struggling to find the records of the community to add them in the Kunabi Maratha category. Jarange Patil in a huge rally held in Jalna district has already given a 10-day ultimatum to the state government to give reservation to the maratha community.
