Pune Airport: PMPML Starts Smart E-Bus Services Start To and Fro Airport

Pune, October 23, 2020: Finally, after five months of lockdown, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has finally resumed the ‘Abhi’ e-bus services at the Pune International Airport on Friday.
The bus service was inaugurated by the Chairman of Airport Advisory Committee MP Girish Bapat at Lohgaon Airport today. As many as 43 smart electric buses will run under the ‘Abhi scheme’ plying on five different routes. These buses will carry passengers to and fro Lohegaon airport.
In order to make the service affordable the ticket fares have been fixed to Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 150, Rs 180 as per the destination (distance covered). These bus services can be availed by airport passengers as well as regular passengers who don’t intend to go to the airport.
Keeping the comfort of the passengers in mind, adequate space has been allotted for passengers to keep their bags inside the e-bus. Meanwhile, LED screens will be installed at the exit gate of the airport which will have bus service details in English and Marathi at six places on the airport premises.

This event was also attended by Airport Director Kuldeep Singh, MLA Madhuri Misal, Pune city Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Pimpri Chinchwad city Mayor Maiee Dhore, PMPML President and Managing Director Dr Rajendra Jagtap, Co-Managing Director Chetana Kerure, Standing Committee Chairman Santosh Londhe and PMPML officials were present as well.
