Pune: Ajit Pawar Asserts “I Am a Man of My Word” in Recent Speech, Says He Can Make or Break Someone

Indapur, 16th May 2025: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar made a bold statement in Akole, Indapur taluka, declaring his reputation as a leader who stands by his promises. Speaking at a campaign rally for the Chhatrapati Cooperative Sugar Factory, Pawar told the crowd, “I am a man of my word. If I say I will make someone an MP or MLA, I do it. And if I say I will bring someone down, I do that too.”
He further addressed the long-standing water issues faced by farmers dependent on the Khadakwasla project, stating, “I am a man of my word,” and promising to resolve these concerns with dedicated efforts.
Highlighting the achievements of the cooperative sector, Pawar praised the Chhatrapati Cooperative Sugar Factory’s management and promised to work towards better rates for farmers, noting disparities with factories in Baramati taluka. He explained that fair prices from sugar factories directly improve the lives of farmers and their families.
Pawar also called for practical solutions to the region’s water crisis, inviting community suggestions and assuring that mistakes of the past would be corrected. His speech was met with enthusiastic applause, especially when Dattatraya Bharane, representing local farmers, appealed, “Do something, Dada, but please resolve the water issue for our taluka’s agriculture.”
Ajit Pawar concluded by urging the public to trust his leadership, reiterating, “I am a man of my word,” and assuring that a special mechanism would be established to address the region’s pressing water concerns.
