Pune: Akshata Distribution and Invitation Campaign for Shri Ram Consecration Ceremony in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri, 31st December 2023: In anticipation of the consecration ceremony of Lord Shri Rama’s idol in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Ayodhya in collaboration with the Pimpri Chinchwad Committee, is organizing an extensive door-to-door campaign. This campaign, known as the Akshata Distribution and Mega Invitation Campaign, is set to cover 7 lakh homes in Pimpri Chinchwad between January 1 and 15, 2024.
City Organizer Dhananjay Gawde, Co-convenor Maheshwar Marathe, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad Pune Division Minister Nitin Watkar shared details of the campaign on behalf of the organizing committee. The initiative aims to invite citizens to participate in the installation ceremony of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya.
Thousands of Ramsevaks will visit households from January 1 to 15, 2024, to distribute Sacred Akshata along with invitations for the auspicious event. The distributed items will include temple information and a photo of the temple image, following the tradition of giving invitations for significant events.
The campaign encourages citizens to join the celebration, participate in mass-scale events, and witness the realization of the dream of constructing the Ram Mandir. On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to enshrine the idol of Lord Shri Ram in the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Mangal Akshata Puja programs were organized in Pimpri Chinchwad, mirroring events held throughout western Maharashtra. Subsequent Akshata Puja programs and Kalash Yatras were conducted at over 2,500 locations in the city. Various committees, representing all sections of society, have been formed to distribute Akshata in their respective areas.
The campaign will be accompanied by various activities and programs from January 1 to 15, 2024. Bhajans, Ram Name chanting, Aarti, Rangoli, music, dance, and other cultural events will take place in temples, societies, colonies, establishments, and mandals. Pimpri Chinchwad residents are encouraged to actively participate in these celebrations.
