Alandi, 30th April 2024: A woman killed her husband by colluding with her brother-in-law, hitting the husband hard on the head. Afterwards, they attempted to tamper with evidence so that authorities would think the husband committed suicide. Busting this act, Pimpri Chinchwad police arrested the woman and her brother-in-law. This incident occurred on Sunday (28th April) at around 11:45 in Thorve Wasti, Charholi Budruk.
Regarding this incident, Assistant Police Inspector Anil Lohar filed a complaint at Alandi Police Station. Hujur Mohammad Sayyad (age 32, resident of Thorve Wasti, Charholi) has been identified as the deceased. Regarding this, Alandi Police have arrested the deceased’s 28-year-old wife and Firoj Mohammad Sayyad (Age 38, resident of Tuljapur, Dharashiv).
According to the police, Alandi Police received information about someone committing suicide in Thorve Wasti, Alandi, on Sunday night. Police went to Hujur Sayyad’s home and found him dead. Sayyad’s wife told the police that Hujur banged his head on the wall and committed suicide.
However, police found this story suspicious and began investigating from the angle of murder. Sayyad’s wound, the situation at the spot, the deceased’s condition, and the information provided by their daughter and wife did not match. The wife had cleaned the blood marks too. After detailed interrogation by the police, it was revealed that Sayyad’s wife and Sayyad’s brother had both murdered Sayyad and further attempted to tamper with evidence to make it appear as suicide.
Regarding this, Alandi police have registered a crime under IPC sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of an offence or giving false information to screen the offender), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) against the accused. Assistant Police Inspector Mali from Alandi Police Station is investigating this matter further.
