Pune: Ambulance Overturns on Mumbai-Bangalore Highway in Kiwale, No Casualties Reported

Kiwale, 18th January 2024: In the early hours of Thursday, an ambulance overturned at Kiwale on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The ambulance was en route from Pune to Mumbai when the incident occurred. According to Senior Police Inspector Dyaneshwar Sable of the Dehu Road Traffic Department, the accident took place after approaching the Mrinal exit at Kiwale. The driver lost control of the ambulance, leading to it overturning and sustaining heavy damage.

At the time of the accident, only the driver was present in the ambulance. The driver managed to exit the vehicle safely, preventing any injuries. Quick action by the driver in controlling the situation contributed to the lack of casualties.

Upon being notified of the incident, the Dehu Road Traffic Department promptly deployed officers to the location. The accident had transpired along the roadside, and the officers facilitated the removal of the ambulance using a crane.
