Kondhwa, 27th June 2021: Anand Van Mitra Mandal (AVMM) and the Maharashtra Forest department today jointly organized a mega plantation drive near Antulenagar in Pisoli to plant 500 native plants.

“We had volunteers from different parts of Pune. From toddlers to seniors all have participated in this plantation program. We are so glad to see that the concept of the urban forest is gaining a lot of momentum and it’s spreading wildly in the minds of people”, said AVMM head Praveen Kumar.

Colonel Pramod D Kulkarni (Retired), founder of Vidyashilp Public School, who was part of the plantation drive, promised to maintain these plants and nourish them.

Shriram and Pramod grew 20 saplings on their balcony and donated them to this mega plantation drive.

Gurvinder Bindra, founder of Bindra catering and hospitality, was also present with his staff and motivated the volunteers.
