Pune, 5th June 2021: During a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, a decision was taken to grant the same level of relaxations in lockdown measures in Khadki and Pune cantonments as they are applicable in the Pune municipal corporation (PMC) areas. However, Dehuroad cantonment will not get relief as it has a high positivity rate for Coronavirus disease (COVID19) and also shares borders with rural areas.

At present, the positivity rate is 3.39% in Khadki, 5.5% in Pune Cantonment, while the rate is 7% in Dehuroad cantonment.

As per the new decision, now all essential shops will be allowed to open from 7 am to 2 pm on all days, while non-essential shops will open from 7 am to 2 pm from Monday to Friday in Khadki and Pune cantonment areas. This will bring relief to local residents as well as traders.
