Pune And Pimpri Chinchwad Police Sports Competition Conducted, 241 Players Participate

Pune, 29th August 2022: The 38th Sports Competition under the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate was held recently with enthusiasm. 241 athletes participated in various categories in the competition. The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Praveen Kumar, felicitated the winners on the grounds of Shivajinagar Police Headquarters. On this occasion, Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Ankush Shinde, Additional Commissioner Jalinder Supekar, Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokle, Additional Commissioner Namdev Chavan, and Additional Commissioner Rajendra Dahale were present.

 

 

 

Four teams from Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, including East, West Division, Headquarters and Branch, participated in the competition. A tug-of-war competition was organized between the police officers and invitees, along with 100m running for men and women. Police officers won the event. Mahesh Awale won first place, and Govind Kolekar won second place in the 100m Run (Men) category. Among women, Sneha Dhuri won first place, and Surekha Thackeray won second place.

 

 

 

In athletics, female police officer Sneha Dhuri (Crime Branch) won the best female athlete award. Police Commissioner Ali Shaikh (Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissionerate) was the best athlete in athletics.

 

 

 

Praveen Kumar also expressed the opinion that such competitions are important for fitness. The program was coordinated by API Vikram Misal, Sub-Inspector Supriya Pandharkar, and Ekta Kapur. Police Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Ankush Shinde gave the vote of thanks.
