Pune: Anti-Narcotics Cell Arrests Drug Dealer, 21 Gm Mephedrone Seized

Pune, 14th September 2021: An anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the Pune city police has arrested a man for trying to sell mephedrone. 21 grams of mephedrone (MD) worth Rs three lakh has been seized from him.

The arrested person has been identified as Shams Muhammad Ali Zaveri (60).

Senior police inspector Vinayak Gaikwad and his team were patrolling the Sinhagad Road police station area. At that time, Zaveri was spotted walking on the service road leading to Navale bridge in Wadgaon.

He was taken into custody on suspicion and 21 grams of mephedrone were found in his possession.

The police team included Assistant Police Inspector Laxman Dhengale and police personnel Manoj Salunke, Rahul Joshi, and Rehana Sheikh.
