Pune: Delivery Boy Booked For Forcefully Trying Hug Woman In Wakad

Wakad, 14th September 2021: A 30-year-old woman was on her way home with her brother in the Wakad area when a food delivery boy came on a two-wheeler and tried to forcefully hug and kiss her.

She has registered an FIR in this regard with Wakad police station under Pimpri Chinchwad police against the unidentified delivery boy.

According to the police, the complainant and her brother are from Nepal and they both run a Chinese food stall. Their stall closes late at night. The duo was leaving for their house around midnight on Sunday. As the dogs were barking, the brother was walking ahead, chasing the dogs. At that moment, the food delivery boy suddenly came on a bike, saw the girl alone and approached her, and made obscene gestures. He tried to kiss and hug her with one hand from the bike. He also made obscene remarks. The food delivery boy fled after seeing her brother.

The incident took place around 11.45 pm on Sunday near Samrat Chowk on Datta Mandir Road.

The accused has not been arrested yet and Wakad police are searching for him.
