Pune, 20 July 2021: The job engagement will be initially for six months which may be extended or shortened depending on the duration of the tenure of a sponsored project, performance, or execution of the appointee.

The engagement will be purely temporary and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his or her consideration against any CSIR-NCL post/fellowship. Applications are online for filling up positions. The age limit is 35 for all positions. The detail of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed to be made are:

Post: Project Associate-I (MLP100426)
– The candidate should at least have a degree in M.Sc. in natural science from a recognized university or equivalent. Preferred experiences are M.Sc. in chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with more than 60%. The candidate must know about catalyst synthesis, characterization analytical protocols.
– The job requirement is appointee has to do synthesis of various scales of catalysts with reproducibility, Characterization of materials, Establishing various analytical protocols.
– The candidate is offered with (i) 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions. (ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others.

Post: Project Associate-II (MLP100426)
– 3 candidates are required with a minimum qualification of B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology or M.Sc in Natural Science from a recognized university or equivalent along with 2 years of experience.
– Desired experiences are M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology or M.Sc in chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 60% or equivalent along with 2 years of experience. The candidate must have hands-on experience in catalyst synthesis, characterization, and analytical protocols. Must have good knowledge in scaling up of catalyst synthesis, catalytic process and to perform H&MB calculations, etc. The preference will be given to those candidates who have relevant research experience in catalysis.
– The attendee should know how to do Synthesis of various large-scale catalysts, Characterization of materials and interpretation of acquired data, Establishing and validating various analytical protocols, carryover and perform H&MB calculations, etc., Carry over the reaction kinetics, Carry over the reactions in batch and continuous reactor.
– Consolidated emoluments per month is (i) 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 28,000/- + HRA for others.

Post: Project Scientist-I (MLP100426)
– A candidate is required for qualification Doctoral Degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
– Candidate with Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent with a higher grade. To know and experience in working on various heterogeneous catalysis problems including synthesis of materials and executing actions in all kinds of reactors. The preference will be given to those candidates who have relevant research experience in catalysis is preferred.
– Position requirements are to plan and execute various synthesis methodologies of materials, To monitor and involve in the synthesis of various large
scale catalysts, Carry over the large pilot scale reactions, Conversion of batch processes to continuous mode, Acquired data on laboratory/ pilot plant scale, should be carried out for commercialization of CSIR-NCL technology.
– The payment will be 56,000/- with HRA Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience subject to performance review.

The application should be filled online before 27/07/2021. Late applications will not be considered. The number of applications received in response to this Notice of engagement is large, it may not be convenient to interview all the candidates.

Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interviews to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice.
Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field on the date of advertisement.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before the Selection Committee for an online interview. For online interviews, a URL link will be provided to short-listed candidates later via email on or before 30/07/2021.

Interview will be conducted on 30/07/2021 from 09:30 AM onwards online through a suitable medium such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx etc.No interview call letter will be issued separately. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
