Pune: ASP Satyasai Karthik Cracks Down on Illegal Liquor Sale In Maval

Lonavala, 27th December 2023: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Satyasai Karthik, leading the Lonavala sub-division, has taken decisive action against illegal liquor sales, targeting three hotel operators in the Vadgaon Maval police station limits. The operation resulted in the confiscation of liquor worth twenty thousand rupees and the initiation of legal proceedings against the offenders.

ASP Karthik, known for his stringent stance against illegal activities, acted on information received through an informer. The intelligence suggested that hotel operators in Mauje Shivane and Malawandi Dhore area of the Vadgaon Maval Police Station were engaging in the illegal sale of liquor, negatively impacting the local youth. In response, ASP Karthik dispatched a Detection Branch (DB) team to investigate.

Raids and Seizures:
The DB team today conducted raids at the following locations:
1. Hotel Jagdamba in Malawandi Dhore, Maval Taluka, District Pune.
2. Hotel Patilwada Mutton Khanaval in Mauje Shivane.
3. Hotel Kailas Chinese.

Police team involved in the operation, including API Sachin Raul, Constable Shubham Chavan, Constable Bharat Bhosle, Constable Nitesh (Bunty) Kawade, Rais Mulani, and the team from Vadgaon Maval Police Station.
