Pune: Attempt Murder Case Accused Arrested After Two Months

Shukrawar Peth, 11th November 2022: Two wanted criminals whom police was searching for the last two months in a case of an attempt to murder have been arrested. They had reportedly attacked a youth who was returning home after watching Ganpati immersion procession.

The incident took place on September 10 at around 2.30 am in the Kasewadi area. The four accused namely Siddharth Sanjay Kamble (22), Adnan Mushtaq Bagwan (21), Nazir Salim Sheikh and Asif Babulal Sheikh had attacked the youth with axes due to past enmity. Based on a complaint from the injured youth, an FIR was registered by the Khadak police station. Earlier two accused were arrested while others were absconding.

Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Sandip Talekar and Sagar Ghadge, a trap was laid and Siddharth Sanjay Kamble was caught from the Gagandeep Apartment in Ambegaon Budruk. Later, Adnan Mushtaq Bagwan was arrested in Kondhwa.

The action was taken by a team comprising ACP (Faraskhana Division) Satish Govekar, Senior Police Inspector Sangeeta Yadav, Inspector Police (Crime) Rajesh Tatkare, Assistant Police Inspectors Rakesh Jadhav, Nitin Kumar Naik, PSI Atul Bankar, and police personnel Aziz Baig, Sandip Talekar, Sagar Ghadge, Vishal Jadhav, Nitin Jadhav, Lakhan Dhaware, Rafiq Nadaf, Akshay Kumar Wable, Mahesh Pawar, Mahesh Jadhav and Tejas Pande.
